Three days before El Portal
The Extended Experience brings together a smaller group during the days before the festival, in a more intimate setting and at an unhurried pace that invites you to share, explore and connect.
Over three days, movement, expression, learning and wellbeing come together: yoga, dance, breathwork, workshops, talks, music, art and participatory activities. There is time to go deeper, discover new disciplines, rest, enjoy the outdoors and get to know the people around you.
No previous experience needed. You can explore at your own pace and choose what calls you most.
Sharing activities, meals and everyday moments, faces start to become familiar, conversations spark and new bonds are born. That is why many people who come on their own, or wanting to meet people, choose the Extended Experience to share more time together before the festival.
What you'll live
Movement & expression
Yoga, ecstatic dance, acroyoga, biodanza, dance, theatre and practices to explore the body in different ways. No previous experience needed: each activity offers a different way in.
Breathwork, meditation & wellbeing
Breathwork, meditation, sound and relaxation practices to slow down, return to the body and connect with the present moment.
Workshops & talks
Gatherings on creativity, relationships, self-knowledge, nutrition, ancestral wisdom and many other themes. Spaces to learn, share ideas, ask questions and come back inspired, with a new tool for everyday life.
Art & creativity
Painting, writing, singing, body expression and participatory offerings to explore, play and create for the joy of it.
Group activities
Games, dynamics and shared experiences that spark connection between the people in the group. You always choose which activity to join.
Music & sonic journeys
DJ sets, live music, sonic journeys, singing and musical moments designed for the more intimate pace of these three days.
The Extended Experience is not a separate event. It is the beginning of a seven-day journey.
In these first days the seed of Amanita is planted: the community is born, the energy of the gathering builds, and we get ready to welcome those arriving on Thursday and Friday to cross El Portal together. By the time the festival begins, the space already feels familiar and there is a group you have been sharing the road with.

How long is the Extended Experience?
How long is the Extended Experience?The ticket lasts seven days in total: three Extended Experience days beforehand and the four full festival days. It all happens in the same place.
Can I buy only the three days before?
There are no tickets for only the three days before. The Extended Experience is part of a seven-day ticket that also includes full access to El Portal.
Do I need experience in yoga, meditation or movement?
No. The offerings are open to people with different backgrounds and levels. You can try, observe and take part at your own pace.
Is it a retreat?
It has the intimacy of a retreat but the participatory, free style of Amanita. Everyone creates their own path at their own pace: things happen at the same time and you decide which to join. It combines workshops, movement, wellbeing, music, community and participatory activities, and then continues with El Portal.
Is it a good option if I'm coming solo?
Yes, it's especially fun for those coming alone. The smaller group and the three shared days create an intimate atmosphere where everyone gets to know each other and many new friendships form. You'll also share those three days with the Amanita team preparing the final details for the festival.
Where do people sleep?
You can choose from the same options available for the festival: bring your own tent, pre-pitched tents, motorhome or glamping. There is also the option of a room inside the grounds. Lodging is purchased separately and covers all 7 days.
Is food included?
No. The ticket doesn't include meals. During the experience there will be food options inside the grounds and a general store so you can find everything you need.
Can I upgrade my four-day ticket to a seven-day one?
Yes, as long as spots remain. You'll be able to pay the difference and make the change by emailing info@amanitafestival.com.
What should I bring?
Comfortable clothes, warm layers, a reusable bottle, sunscreen, insect repellent and everything you need for the lodging option you choose. Before the event you'll receive a full guide.
What services and amenities are there?
Showers, dry toilets, free hydration points and hot water for mate, shaded rest areas, general store, food court, charging stations, parking, 24-hour security and medical assistance, info point and camping area.
