How to live Amanita
An experience we create together
Amanita is more than what happens on the stages. It's, above all, the way we choose to share these days together.
This is an invitation to care for the space we share, and to remember that every gesture, however small, is part of what unfolds and gives life to the experience.
Before we begin
The experience is the result of the way we live it.
Everyone arrives at Amanita with their own story. The diversity of experiences and ways of seeing the world is part of what makes our community richer.
To live the experience fully and create a space where we can truly open up and connect, we like to share a few principles:
- Being present
- Respecting one another
- Honoring our limits
- Keeping those around us in mind
- Taking responsibility for the space we share
Let the experience surprise you.

The invitation is to approach with curiosity, open yourself to new experiences and allow yourself to discover something you maybe weren't looking for.
Maybe you come for the music and find a practice you never imagined. Maybe you come for a workshop and end up dancing until sunrise. Often, the most meaningful things appear in what we hadn't planned.
Open up to the people around you too: they'll be the ones sharing these four days with you, the ones this experience grows through.
Say yes to taking part. Try something new. Open up to others and dive fully into the experience.
Disconnect to connect.

For much of the year we live glued to screens, messages, plans and everything happening somewhere else.
Amanita is a chance to be present. To connect with what's happening around us, with our body and with the people we're sharing it with.
For a few days we move to another space, another rhythm and another way of living. Allow yourself to be fully there.
In practice: your phone
- Use your phone only when you really need it. The phone often pulls us back outward, right when the experience is inviting us to find each other within.
You don't have to do everything. But do take part.

Everyone builds their own path and lives Amanita at their own pace. You can dance for hours, join three workshops in a row, rest under a tree or spend an afternoon talking with someone you just met.
Taking part doesn't mean always doing something. It means engaging with what you choose to live and being truly present.
Each person's participation is part of a fabric we weave together. Every encounter, every contribution and every gesture gives shape to the experience.
In practice: ways to take part
- Join a class on the spur of the moment.
- Say hi to your camping neighbors and ask how they're feeling.
- Share a conversation around the fire.
- Recommend a workshop you loved.
- Care for the space and offer help.
Together, we are one creating the experience.
A space to explore who we are and who we want to be.

Amanita aims to be a place where we can express ourselves more freely: dance the way we feel, dress the way we want, play, create, be moved and live versions of ourselves that don't always find much room in everyday life.
Authentic expression doesn't have a single form. Freedom lies in being able to meet one another without feeling we have to fit in, letting ourselves be who we are.
Letting ourselves be seen, opening up and sharing who we are can be one of the most beautiful and transformative experiences of Amanita.
Everyone brings a story, a sensibility and something of their own to share. Our freedom also grows when we celebrate what makes others unique.
Being yourself is a collective experience too.
Connection always begins with respect.

Amanita can spark genuine, close and spontaneous encounters. For us to live them freely, it's essential that everyone feels comfortable, cared for and respected.
True openness recognizes limits: our own and those of others.
In practice: asking for and giving consent
- Before touching, hugging, photographing, filming or involving someone in an activity, ask and wait for their answer before going further.
- A yes must be free, clear and present: silence or hesitation do not mean consent.
- Everyone can change their mind, step away or set a limit at any moment.
Listen to your body and honor your own pace.

It's natural to want to do everything, but to enjoy the experience to the fullest it's essential to rest, find our own rhythm and recognize our limits.
Don't try to keep up with anyone else's pace. Every body, every energy and every experience is different.
Resting, asking for help or stepping away from an activity are also forms of conscious participation.
Care for yourself and care for those around you too. If you see someone who needs help, offer your support.
A small gesture can make a big difference.
In practice: how to look after yourself
- Stay hydrated.
- Eat and sleep as much as you need.
- Protect yourself from the sun and the cold.
- Use ear protection near the stages.
- Stop when your body asks you to.
Sometimes it's enough to know we can count on one another.
For a few days, we make Amanita our home.

Community doesn't arise just because many people are together. It's built in every gesture, in every encounter and in the way we choose to inhabit the shared space.
For four days, our actions shape the experience of those around us.
We create the energy of Amanita together. Being kind, respectful and available to others nourishes the mood of the whole experience.
Every individual action gives shape to the collective experience.
In practice: small gestures
- Care for the shared spaces.
- Respect others' rest.
- Offer help when you sense someone might need it.
- Listen, open up and reach out to others.
Beyond the festival
Transformation begins within and continues outside.
Amanita lasts four days, but the ways of meeting, caring for and sharing with one another that we practice during this time can stay with us beyond the festival.
The experience ends. The stages go quiet. We return to our homes and routines. But something of what we lived comes back with us: a different way of looking, of listening, of reaching out to others and of being present.
Because, even as each of us returns to our own path, we all carry with us something of what we lived together.
An experience we co-create together.
A part of the experience returns with each of us.
WE ARE ONE.
